- Includes removal and installation (R&I) of the front bumper to access and inspect the sensor harness, connectors, wiring, and related components. Multiple diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) were found during scanning with the Autel tool. Post-Disassembly Findings – After removing the front bumper, we found corroded connectors and a broken pin on the left side of the parking sensor wiring harness. The damaged wiring was repaired, and system functionality was re-tested. Upon testing, two parking aid sensors were found to be defective. The customer had previously replaced these sensors with aftermarket units. When swapped with a known good OEM sensor, the fault codes followed the position of the aftermarket sensors. Recommendation – We recommend replacing both aftermarket sensors with OEM units and performing a new system test to confirm proper functionality.
